Time, it is something we all wish we had more of right? I think the biggest challenge for those that I speak to about living a healthy lifestyle is not having the time. That is why I can’t stress enough why meal prepping helps save me so much time. I dedicate 2-3 hours every Sunday and I prepare for my busy work week ahead. I get that meal prepping isn’t for everyone, but it is something that helps me maintain my healthy lifestyle while having a full time career. You already know I am big on burger and meatballs for a meal prep staple, but from time to time I also like to throw in some salmon burgers to the meal prep line up. These also freeze very well so I suggest you double up the recipe and prepare extra to freeze for those day’s you don’t feel like cooking.

What you will need:

  1. 2 Wild caught salmon filets (you could also use 2 cans of salmon)
  2. Garlic powder
  3. Avocado oil
  4. Fresh cilantro
  5. Fresh parsley
  6. Red onion
  7. Primal Kitchen Foods garlic aioli avocado oil mayo
  8. Primal Kitchen Foods spicy brown mustard
  9. 2 pasture raised eggs
  10. Ghee
  11. Salt and pepper to taste

I first cook my wild caught salmon filets with some garlic powder, salt + pepper, and avocado oil on 350 F for 15 minutes. I let them cool and with a fork I run it through to create flaky salmon pieces. I then add the rest of the ingredients, mix, form into patties, and cook on a grill pan for a few minutes each side.

I like to serve mine as a burger bowl over greens, sweet potato fries, cucumbers, and cherry tomatoes.
