One of my favorite items to meal prep are burger patties. I think that most of the time people think if I make burgers I can only eat burgers. Let me tell you that by meal prepping these, you could make a variety of meals just by meal prepping these patties.
Here are some examples of three different meals you could prep with these patties:
- Burger bowls with greens, avocado, sweet potato fries
- Burgers of course
- Crumble the patties to form a meat sauce for pasta or zoodles
Now these cilantro jalapeno burgers are super easy to prepare.
Here is what you will need:
- Ground chicken I used Buy Ranch Direct
- Jalapeno deseeded
- Cilantro
- Onion
- Primal Palate Meat and Potato seasoning (substitute cumin, coriander, smoked paprika, oregano)
- Salt + pepper to taste
- Fourth and Heart California garlic ghee (substitute any oil you use)
I like to saute my onions, jalapeno, and cilantro with the ghee for a few minutes in a pan on medium heat before adding it to the ground chicken. This step is optional but it really does make the chicken burgers taste extra delicious. If you are skipping this step, just add all ingredients to a bowl, mix, form into patties, and cook a couple minutes each side using a greased grill pan.
I store mine in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
