Burger Bowls:
I typically prefer my burgers in a loaded salad. And I know you are probably thinking who are you? But the truth is, I love a good loaded salad, and this burger bowl satisfies me every time! But if burger bowls aren’t your jam, grab your favorite buns, and make yourself some regular sliders.
Bison Bacon Cilantro Sliders:
I love a good and flavorful burger! And this combination of bison, bacon, and cilantro is the perfect match. But if you don’t have bison feel free to substitute ground chicken, ground turkey, beef, or any other meats you prefer.
Ingredients for sliders:
- Ground bison or any type of ground meat you prefer
- Bacon
- Onions
- Cilantro
- Paprika, onion powder, oregano, thyme, garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
How to prepare sliders:
I first start by cooking my bacon in my convection oven 400 F for 20-25 minutes, flipping half way. And when the bacon is done cooking, I dab the excess grease with a paper towel, and let cool. In a medium bowl, I add the ground bison, seasonings, chopped onions, cilantro, and the chopped cooled bacon, and mix it all up. And form into 12 sliders. But if you want to do burgers, form into 6 large burger patties.
How to cook sliders:
I prefer cooking mine in my air fryer 370 for 12 minutes. But if you don’t have an air fryer you can cook in a pan a few minutes each side, bake 350 F for 12-15 minutes (depending on how you take them), or throw them on a grill until cooked through to your liking.
Putting it all together:
And now the fun part, putting together the burger bowl. I first start by adding my spring mix greens to a bowl, then I add sliced Persian cucumbers, sliced avocado, spicy sauerkraut, air fried sweet potato fries, and fresh cilantro. I personally take my burger bowls dry since there are so many amazing flavors to it already. But feel free to try it with my homemade caesar dressing or any other dressing you dig.
