Ghost Chocolate Dipped Strawberries:
I am here for the BOOs with these ghost chocolate dipped strawberries. Sure to be a crowd pleaser this spooky season.
What you’ll need:
- Fresh organic strawberries washed and completely dried
- White chocolate chips of choice or white candy melts
- Refined coconut oil
- Festive paper straws
- Chocolate chips of choice
- Parchment paper
How to prepare the ghost:
First, melt white chocolate chips with about 1 tsp of refined coconut oil in the microwave, doing 20 second intervals, and mixing each time. Make sure to not over heat your white chocolate, or else the chocolate will harden. Stick the festive straws into the melted white chocolate and then stick into the strawberry. And refrigerate until the chocolate is set. Next, take some of the melted white chocolate with a spoon and add to parchment paper to form the ghost look. And then dip the whole strawberry into the melted white chocolate and place on top of the ghost piece. And refrigerate until the chocolate has hardened.
Melt chocolate chips with some refined coconut oil until melted. But be sure to not over heat or else the chocolate will harden quicker. And add to a squeeze bottle or a ziplock bag that you snip the end off. And draw on the eyes and mouth with the melted chocolate, and refrigerate until chocolate is set.
Storing the strawberries:
If preparing these chocolate dipped strawberries in advance. Keep stored in the refrigerator. I like to keep them stored uncovered and placed on a paper towel to prevent any condensation from forming. But it is totally up to you! I wouldn’t recommend prepping them more than a day in advance.
