I have been trying to tame my sugar dragon and finding snack options can be a bit difficult, especially if you are buying store bought snacks. I prefer to make everything from scratch and my blissballs are one of my favorites. The flavor combinations are endless and you have the ability to add what you like and be cautious of how much sugar you are putting into them.

I made these brownie blissballs without adding any sugars and they actually hit the spot when I am craving something sweet, but don’t want to spike my sugar levels. They are super easy to prepare, prep ahead of time, store in the freezer for when the sugar dragon comes lurking.

What you will need includes:

  1. Raw almonds
  2. Raw macadamia nuts
  3. Raw coconut butter
  4. Raw superfood coconut butter from Philosophie (optional)
  5. Philosophie cacao magic (sub cacao)
  6. Raw coconut shreds
  7. Vanilla extract
  8. Cinnamon
  9. Filtered water

You will add all the ingredients (except the filtered water) to your food processor and process for about 1 minute. You will want to see the consistency you get without the water. The trick with the blissballs is if the dough isn’t sticky enough to roll into ball, you need to add liquid. I like to add 1 tbsp at a time of filtered water until I get my desired consistency. You could also add in some melted coconut oil in place of water. Once you get desired consistency, you are going to roll into balls, and store in the freezer.
