Macadamia Mylk’s:

I love making homemade plant-based mylk’s at home and these macadamia mylk’s are so delicious. As most of you know, I love all the kitchen gadgets, and one of my favorites is my Almond Cow.

Why the Almond Cow?

I have had my Almond Cow for a few years now and I am obsessed. It allows me to make a variety of homemade plant-based mylk’s in under 30 seconds and I don’t have to do any straining.

The way it works is I add my nuts, seeds ,or oats to the filter basket. And if I want to sweeten it up, I add dates or coconut also in the filter basket. In the base is where I add the filtered water, any seasonings I am using to add flavoring, Celtic sea salt, and sometimes vanilla extract.

Then I close it up and press the Almond Cow button and it goes through three cycles and then it is done in under 30 seconds. And what I love about it, is I don’t have to strain the pulp, the machine does it for me!

What if I don’t have an Almond Cow, can I still make?

It is still possible to make this macadamia mylk if you don’t have the Almond Cow. I would add everything to a high powered blender and blend until smooth and creamy. And then using a cheese cloth or a nut mylk bag strain the pulp so that you don’t end up with chunky macadamia mylk.

Ingredients you will need:

  1. Raw macadamia nuts
  2. Unsweetened coconut shreds
  3. Medjool dates
  4. Cinnamon
  5. Celtic sea-salt
  6. Filtered water
What do I do with my leftover macadamia pulp?

I like to make sure that no food waste happens in my kitchen. And so with my leftover pulp I always get creative with using it up. With my leftover Macadamia mylk pulp this time around I created No bake, lemon blueberry “cheesecake” bars. But the possibilities are endless and I encourage you all to play around with it and get creative.
