Cauliflower gnocchi:

Ever since Trader Joes came out with their cauliflower gnocchi I have been obsessed. But I do get a lot of direct messages asking how I cook the gnocchi, and my first response is DON’T FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BAG!

How to cook cauliflower gnocchi:

There are lots of ways you can cook your cauliflower gnocchi which includes: pan frying, baking or, air frying. For this recipe I pan fried my gnocchi and here is how I did it.

  1. Heat your pan with 1 heaping tablespoon of ghee
  2. Add frozen gnocchi with salt and pepper to pan and cover your pan
  3. Let the gnocchi steam for a few minutes not stirring
  4. Remove lid, mix and cook a few minutes without the lid, with minimal stirring to let it get crispy
  5. If they start sticking you can add more ghee or add 1 tablespoon at a time of water, and mix

What you will need for the cauliflower gnocchi pasta dish:

  1. Buy Ranch direct ground turkey sausage
  2. 1 bag of frozen cauliflower gnocchi
  3. Salt and peper to taste
  4. Tomato sauce of your choosing
  5. Cilantro

How to prepare the pasta:

First cook your ground sausage in a pan with some ghee until no longer pink (about 5-7 minutes). Then transfer cooked sausage to a plate, add more ghee to pan, and add your cauliflower gnocchi. Cook your gnocchi as specified above. Once done add back in your sausage, tomato sauce, and fresh cilantro, and cook a few minutes.

Cauliflower gnocchi and ground turkey

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen Trader Joes Cauliflower gnocchi
  • 1 lb Buy Ranch Direct ground turkey sausage
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce of your choice
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish
  • 2 Tbsp Fourth and Heart California garlic ghee

Instructions

  • Heat 1 tbsp of ghee in a pan and add ground turkey sausage and cook for 5-7 minuets or until no longer pink
  • Once turkey sausage is done cooking transfer to a plate
  • Add 1 tbsp of ghee to pan and add frozen cauliflower gnocchi to pan, salt and pepper, cover pan, and let cook for a few minutes
  • Remove lid and let the gnocchi cook a few more minutes with minimal stirring to let it get crispy (if sticking to pan add more ghee or add 1 tbsp at a time of water to prevent sticking)
  • Add back in the cooked turkey sausage, sauce, and cilantro
  • Cook for a few minutes and enjoy
