If I am not having a frittata for breakfast my other go to breakfast on the go is chia +hemp seed puddings. What I love about this breakfast, is that it is filling, delicious, and makes for an easy breakfast on the go. Now you can play around with the flavor combos of chia + hemp seed pudding so that you are never having the same combo, and keeps breakfast exciting.
This matcha combo is one of my favorites when needing a little pick me up in the morning. I try and keep it less on the sweet side so that I don’t spike my sugar levels and then crash or get hungry within an hour of consumption. But you can adjust the flavor to be more sweet by adding in some maple syrup or honey.
I also like to add in some plant based vanilla protein powder for an extra boost, but this is optional. I tend to work out in the morning before work and I personally like adding in some protein powder or collagen peptides to my chia + hemp seed puddings for an added boost.
Power matcha protein chia pudding
- 1/2 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup hemp seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1-2 Tbsp raw coconut
- 2 tsp matcha powder
- 1 scoop vanilla plant based protein powder
- Mix everything in blender and if needing more liquid add in some filtered water.
- Add to mason jars and top with chopped up square organic bar
