Air Fryer Pumpkin Brie:

This air fryer pumpkin brie is the perfect appetizer for fall. Whether you are entertaining or just want to have an appetizer for dinner, this is a must try this fall. And it is super easy to prepare.

What you’ll need:

  1. Gluten free puff pastry sheet or regular puff pastry sheet
  2. 8 oz Brie wheel
  3. Baking twine
  4. Cinnamon Stick
  5. Sage
  6. Fig jam or pumpkin butter
  7. Egg

How to prepare the pumpkin:

First make sure to defrost your puff pastry sheet for at least 3 hours at room temperature. But you can also defrost in the refrigerator overnight. And when ready to make, let the puff pastry come to room temperature. Place some fig jam or pumpkin butter to the center of the puff pastry sheet. Slice your brie wheel in half and add the rest of the fig jam or pumpkin butter to the center of the brie, and place onto the puff pastry sheet.

Making the pumpkin shape:

Make a large circle shape around the brie using a pairing knife. And fold over the puff pastry onto the brie, like you are wrapping a gift. Pinch any areas together that may have split, to help keep everything in while baking. And take your baking twine and tightly tie in different directions to form your pumpkin. And brush on the egg wash on both sides. But try to not brush onto the baking twine, if possible.

Air frying directions:

Add your brie to a greased air fryer dish and air fry on 350°F for 15-17 minutes, checking on it throughout, so it doesn’t burn. You want to take it out once golden brown and puff pastry is cooked through. You could also flip half way through to assure bottom is fully cooked too.

Baking directions:

For baking, add to a lined baking dish, and bake 375°F for 15-20 minutes. Or until it is golden brown and the puff pastry is cooked through.

What if I don’t like fig jam or pumpkin butter?

Feel free to use any jams you like for this recipe.

How do I serve this?

I like to build a charcuterie board and use the pumpkin brie as the center piece. And you can add anything you’d like to go along with the pumpkin brie. I did some bread, crackers, apple slices, nuts, and some maple cookies.
